We are both excited!
Well it has been a while since I have posted on here but I thought that I would let y'all know that on Sept. 5th I asked Becky Bertin to be my wife and she said yes! We are still working on setting a date but will probably be sometime in June or July of next year in Alberta, Canada. Other than this new adventure I am enjoying my job and looking forward to the fall flag-football league with my church.

New news
What's new with me? Well its a new year, I have a new job, I am settling in to a new to me apartment, and I am learning my way around my new town. I finished up my time on staff with ALERT in December due to me getting another job in Longview where I will continue to repair vehicles. I moved into my apartment in Kilgore that I am sharing with Jason Luksa(who is also working at the same place I am) yesterday after getting all my stuff packed up at ALERT on Thursday. It will take a while to get everything unpacked but that's how moving goes.
I had a great Christmas with my family in Pennsylvania, as it was the first time I have seen them in a year, and an even better New Years. Got to spend some time helping out my parents around their house doing small jobs and also spent some time with my brother just hanging out. Another cool thing was that my sister was able to make it in from Colorado for a few days over Christmas as well.
In other news I passed my 8th and final Auto and Light Truck ASE exam and earned my ASE Master Tech certification. This was a goal that I have been working on since 2005 so it was great to finally reach it.

Update
Hey y'all just thought I would post a quick update. Still at ALERT and have been keeping busy with work, church league football, studying for ASE tests, and fixing up my car. Its the time of year for hunting again so been spending some time getting ready for that and just need to get my license yet. Football didnt go as good this year for our team but it was still a lot of fun and now I am looking forward to the spring league. Well that's all I have time for so see y'all later.

Hey y'all how is it going. I have been all over the place in the last month and have had a blast. I went with Joe West and Jon Owen to Brett Thompson's wedding in Newnan, Georgia where I got to see Daryn Thompson, Carl Kinz, Brandon Fitch, Mark Whitehead, Kevin Jones and Bruce West. We had a great time together and caught up with what everyone is doing. The next two weekends I was gone again but this time I was in Brazil with a group of ALERT guys helping out a missionary and his wife and sightseeing. We were in Brazil 8 days and I wasn't ready to come back yet but we had a schedule to follow so the guys get all their training in before graduation next Friday. These men were from Unit 35 and there were 9 of us so times were great and we got a lot of work done for the people we were staying with. Then the day after and two days after that I had ASE tests to take which fortunately I was able to study for during the long plane rides to and from Brazil. Now I have to wait 4-6 weeks for my results to see if I passed. This weekend was Unit 37 advancement from Basic Training so this was another busy week as well.
